Mill Green School is a co-educational day special school/college for learners aged 11 – 19. The school has recently been successful, through the Priority School Building Project (PSBP), in securing a new build school, a £4.6m development in Parr.

The Project:

Main contractors, Willmott Dixon, were awarded the contract to build the new school at a Greenfield site in Parr. Construction was required to run to strict timescales, to ensure that the new school would be completed in time for the start of term in September 2014.

 Bluegyp’s work:

Willmott Dixon appointed bluegyp to the project. bluegyp worked closely with Willmott Dixon to ensure that work was completed against the strict timescales required by the school. bluegyp carried out a very complex Kingspan steel framing installation at the school, followed by a Fermacell specified partition package and AMF suspended ceiling installation.

Outcome:

Bluegyp worked quickly and efficiently on site, handing over to Willmott Dixon within agreed timescales. bluegyp’s work was completed to a very high standard, ensuring an aesthetically pleasing finish. The school opened its doors to pupils for the first time in September 2014.
